Police and forensic officers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation rescue volunteers were called to the scene in the busy Nong Prue area of Bang Lamung district. According to the duty doctor and investigators from the Pattaya City Police Station, no signs of struggle or theft were found in the victim’s room and the CCTV footage showed he was alone in his room throughout the day. Investigators will conduct a full autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Police General Hospital, and hotel staff are being questioned as part of the probe.

While the exact hotel name has not been publicly released, the incident occurred at a high-end property in central Pattaya near the major thoroughfare of Second Road. Central Pattaya’s luxury hotels are known for premium service, sea-views and proximity to shopping and entertainment hubs. For example, a prominent 5-star property in central Pattaya offers full-service spa, beach-front dining and top-class concierge services for business and leisure travellers. These upscale venues typically have high guest ratings and welcome international tourists.

Investigation Underway Amid Safety Questions

Investigators are examining all possible scenarios, including accidental fall, health-related cause, or other factors, although initial scene examination found no forced entry, no sign of intrusion and no disturbance in the room. The fact that the man was found at a site beneath the 10th floor and audio witness reports of a loud impact are key facts in the enquiry. The hotel has said it is co-operating fully and is reviewing its CCTV and guest-safety protocols.

Implications for Pattaya Hospitality Sector

This incident comes at a delicate time for the hospitality industry in Pattaya, as the city rebuilds its tourism momentum. Safety and incident transparency are now under increasing scrutiny by both domestic regulators and foreign travellers. Hotels in this category may need to review their guest-risk protocols, especially for high-floor accommodation, to reassure international clients and maintain their high-end reputations.
